Heliocentrium was born from a lost opportunity and a decade-long question: How can we intelligently harness solar energy and agricultural land?

The Problem We Solve

The Region of Murcia is one of Europe's areas with the highest solar radiation, with over 3,300 hours of sunshine per year and an average irradiance of 5.4 kWh/m²/day. Yet, more than one in three agricultural hectares is abandoned or unproductive.

The problem is not the lack of sunlight, but the lack of precise information: Which plots are truly suitable? How much surface can be used without affecting crops? How much energy and economic return can be obtained?

2015

A Lost Opportunity

A family of Murcian farmers nearly transformed an abandoned plot in Albudeite into a solar installation. The project fell through because no company could accurately calculate how many panels would fit to make it profitable.

2017

The AI Revolution Begins

The publication of 'Attention is All You Need' marked a turning point in artificial intelligence. The world began to change how it looks at data... and how it looks at the sun.

2025

Heliocentrium is Born

While working as an AI researcher at IBM Research Dublin, 2 engineers met and combine their expertise in computer vision, satellite remote sensing, and solar energy to answer a question that had gone unanswered for a decade.
